Emma de Caunes was born to be an actress. Her father was an actor/director, and her mom was a visual artist, so she grew up on and around film sets and surrounded by art. Bitten by the acting bug early, the French babe landed her first professional acting gig at the age of 12 when she appeared in a movie directed by her godmother Michele Reiser. That experience lit a fire under her, but she put her acting career on hold for a few years while she finished school. Once finished with school, Emma turned her full attention to acting landing one of the lead roles in the movie Un frere (1996) for which she won the Best Actress award at the Paris Film Festival and she won the Cesar Award for Most Promising Actress. In addition to acting, Emma has a strong interest in illustration and fine art. She has written, animated, and voiced a few different animated musical shows.
